United States Army

Information Technology Specialist                                                                            2012 - Current

Responsible for maintaining, processing and troubleshooting military computer systems/operations.

Achievement Highlights:

●        Graduated Advanced Individual Training in the top 10% of the class. Classes comprised of CompTIA A+, Net+, Security+, CCNA, CUCM, VMware, Microsoft Office,  Windows XP/Vista/7/8

●        Deployed to Afghanistan (2013-2014) and established a new network of 424 users per enclave (Three in total; Unclassified, Secret, and NATO Centrix Network) The establishment process consisted of programing 44 Cisco switches to DoD standards, designed and implemented cable runs, established DNS and DHCP,  created an Active Directory, SharePoint, Share drive, and printer server on all enclaves. Other responsibilities included reimaging via ghost and WDS, virus scanning, system patching, VoIP implementation, remote troubleshooting, system upgrades, lifecycle of systems, and making effective Standards of Operations for future units. This proved to all be successful with an uptime of 98% while in a hostile, stressful environment.

●        Was the Sole System Administrator while redeployed to Fort Riley Kansas. Maintained a unit Active Directory for 340 users including Microsoft Exchange and SharePoint.

●        Accountable for equipment that valued in excess of 3 Million Dollars.

●        Became the lead Information Technology Specialist within the Brigade, teaching and mentoring the junior soldiers on Army and Civilian systems.
